So I was looking through my movie selection the other night trying to find something I haven't seen in a while, when I pulled out The Brotherhood of the Wolf. This is one of my favorite non Samurai movies of all time, not exactly a martial arts flick, but the two main characters fight like Jet Li. The story is about a beast that terrorizes a province of France in the Th century, many believe the beast is simply a wolf, but the true beast is something unimaginable. The main characters Chevalier De Fronsac (Samuel Le Bihan) naturalist - royal taxidermist, Mani (Mark Dacasos) misuser De Fronsac's Iroquois sidekick - spiritual partner, are sent to a small province to kill this mythical beast that has killed over 100 people. Monica Bellucci =P~ (The Matrix) also stars in this movie, as a prostitute in one of the local houses. Brotherhood of the Wolf has action, a great story (it is loosely based on a true story), incredible costumes and sets, and IMO great acting, all rolled up in one of if not the highest grossing French movie of all time at $70 million worldwide. Check your local Best Buy or Circuit City, you should be able to pick up this movie pretty cheap, but it is worth every penny. If you purchase this title under the name Brotherhood of the Wolf the DVD should have English as the main language with French as an option, but I would double check, when I saw this in the theater it was all in French ~X(
