Do companies like Masahiro, Bushido, Musashi, and Hanwei have any way to order just the fittings from their swords? I imagine they have a huge surplus somewhere, and I'd rather not get unpainted fittings from Bugei for top dollar.
For instance, the Tsuba from the Musashi Ichidou Katana

Would be nice if the katana parts could be sold seperately. That way you could REALLY customize a katana with different pieces!

I've actaully made a suggestion about that to a few weapon online stores a long while back, but apparently it's just too difficult to be able to obtain various parts because they're not sold seperately or something...

if your looking for individual peices Fred Lohman has a huge selection http://www.japanese-swords.com/ a little pricy but very high quality stuff. Search around I know Shadow of Leaves has allot of stuff, even Zanshin Sword carries some funiture

I have been trying to get my hands on this stuff forever. I have begged the makers to send me this stuff and they always say "I will ask my manager" but nothing ever gets done. Very frustrating....
