Summer Seminar

Hi Guys & Gals, I'm here at the BKA Summer Iaido & Jodo Seminar.

This year I brought my laptop along for the ride so I'll still be able to post in my absence from home.

Not bad, Didn't get heavily drunk last night like last year (quite proud of that), ate with a rival Dojo last night which was quite funny and I've got the first day of training later.

Well guys, I "finally" got my Ikkyu In Iaido after embarrassingly failing it last year and I'm chuffed to bits!!!!

Sorry if I didn't update yesterday but I've been extremely busy.

Goose, remember last year when I told everyone that I failed my Ikkyu grading in Iaido, well this year I finally passed it :)

Totally, with all the crap I went through last year I stupidly saw failing it as a bit of a black mark above my head, I'm just so glad that marks finally been removed :)

I think it was more about proving it to myslf than about proving it to others though.

Many here on this Forum are not martial artists, so they have no idea what these events are or how memorable they become in a person's life.

Thats the next step my friend, I can take the grading after 3 months but I might take 6 months to a year as I only have an hour of Iai Dojo time a week, might try for Nidan Jodo in the comming Spring.

BTW: if anyones wondering why I initially spelled Seminar as semina, it's because the R key on my laptop is becoming unresponsive again, I have to really tap the thing to get it to work.
