I have just finished cleaning up these 2 new additions to my saber collection:

Pattern 1860 Union Cavalry Officer's saber

Hilt

Pattern 1850 Mounted Staff and Field Officer's Regulation Sword

Hilt

The blades of both swords are etched on both sides with "US", "E PLURIBUS UNUM, war trophies, and floral display. Both are extremely historically accurate. The swords are made by Windlass Steelcrafts.

Thanks for looking. :)

Tora
Both are beautiful, but the first one in my humble opinion is better, i like the curve of the blade, like a simitar.

Nice swords Tora. Love those styles. I have an 1850 Infantry Officers sword and the Windlass repo as well. Windlass does a pretty good job reproducing the hilt the only thing I changed on it was buffing off the Made in India stamp and putting on a leather scabbard washer. Love the 1850 General Staff and Cavalry but I have not bought one yet. The General Staff looks accurate right down to the wire wrap. Nice Picks!:celebration:

Thank you all for your kind comments. Mako, you and everyone else would be more than welcome here at the ol' Hacienda....love to have you visit, however the blades get lonesome for me if I am away from them too long so you'll have to come over here. ;)

bobO; if you give me an idea of what you've got in mind and what you want to spend or trade I will be glad to make some suggestions and point you in the right direction.

You got it tora, this time I'm going to talk to him first, Got him a knights dagger last time and don't think he was impressed. You know i was reading the other posts and the culturall differences really struck me. In NY if someone has some thing you really want you say some thing like " give me that or I'll burn down your house and shoot your dog" at least that's how it went in the ol hood.
