edge roll

Anybody here ever had an edge roll taken out of a sword?? sold a brand new ryumon black sakura to a friend and some dip chit swung it and hit a loly column. i'm and he is sick about it. of course the repair kan't cost more than the sword

i've heard a tool steel rod can be used to "roll" back the edge sometimes any body know if true? rate of succsess vs ruininage

I've done it with a knife that had to fine an edge,but never with a sword.The guy to ask would be dan at wild wolf forge over at SBG.hope that helps.
