The Call of Cthulhu

Now for something completely different.....45 min. Independent short film, silent and in B&W. HP Lovecraft fans should like it. I can't say it's a great film or even a good film but it caught my attention and held it for 45 min. Done as a period film of the twenties and on a low budget, I guess you will either like it or hate it but if you get the chance give it a go, but watch more than five minutes before you make up your mind... what's 45 minutes after all.

Checked out trailer and it does look interesting. I have read many of the Cthulu mythos books but I have never yet seen a movie to come close to the mood set in a book yet, in my opinion.

Thanks for the link, I watched this, and really enjoyed it.
Really caught the orginal mood of the mythos.

:Praying:Since I am new here, I'll mind my manners and try not to **** anybody off, too bad. I won't promise anybody annything later. I once read that good novels, characters, etc., should never be re-done, re-run, or re-issued. Same thing should be said here. As a long time H. P. Lovecraft reader and collector of his works, I saw said movie, counted it as a complete loss, and found more fun in counting road kill as I drove home. To those new to Lovecraft it possibly might be interesting but to the long term readers, the characters, the development of them, how they were used in various stories,etc.,suicide watch might be in order. I am not taking issue with others opinions, just stating my own. I don't know how direct one can be on here or how respectful or abusive one can expect or get by with, so I'll try to speak my mind, not to please anyone but just callin' it as I see it. Buy the books, go to the library, whatever but don't waste your money, time, etc, seeing this "thing".:-O

Well most of us try to speak our minds while staying polite, there are a lot of people who use terms like speaking thier mind, straight forward, strong will, when the fact is they are just being rude...this is not directed at you, since you have nicely managed to stay just this side of that, but simply a statement of fact...
