Whats up folks and hows the cutting. For me its pretty good. This past week i did a lot of cutting with the 1095 kill bill sword. I must say the blade is durable and stood up to at least 35 to 50 cuts on mats as well as water bottles. and took very well to the sharpening stone bringing the edge back like new, so if you were wandering if its just another replica, you might find your self very surprised.

I have to say it.
Hanzo is the fictictional sword maker in the kill bill movies. Musashi, Masahiro, or one other actually produce the sword.

Apparently, there was a real life one too but he wasn't a smith...

The hanzo sword site uses this resource above, that you linked.
For the true history of Hattori Hanzo.
This what they also say, relating to the film and Quentin, of course. An interesting tidbit of info.
Ever wonder if there was a real Hattori Hanzo? The answer is YES! He lived long before the movie Kill Bill was ever even thought of, however, Kill Bill does not portray the real Hattori Hanzo.
According to Quentin Tarantino, Sonny Chiba's character, Hattori Hanzo, is meant to be the most recent descendant of his character(s) from "Hattori Hanzô: Kage no Gundan" (1980), a Japanese Television Series. The series was done in multiple various installments, in which Chiba would play Hanzo a generation removed from the previous installment.

hmm...Quentin made quite a mess there, huh?
I enjoy his movies, very entertaining with it's linear plots, overexagerated violence and very dark humor, really I do
Kill Bill was a good watch, but I didn't like how he mixed chinese and japanese style/cultures/ideas and made a whole mess of it
Oh yeah, since we're on the subject, in the movie, when, the killer bride is on the plane, the katana was not store as luggage but rather put neatly aside the passenger chair as well as with other passengers? urrr....why?

That makes sense. Keeps people from ignoring swords they may like but are from companies they are unfamiliar with.
