I was first introduced to this movie series with the second film, which IMHO is by far the best of the three films; wild and crazy, but fun. Let me say that all of these are male designed, male targeted, testosterone laced brain candy; all are filled with wild fights, insane stunts and nearly impossible feats of driving. Transporter 3 though, went too far with several underwater scenes, far enough to really ruin the film for anybody who has ever experienced using a snorkel that was too long. T3 also had some seriously slow moments, at least for this film genre, in what I can only think of as an attempt to make the film appeal more to women; but I do not think it worked very well.

I'd have to give it only three stars (rounded up from two and three quarter stars), because I was able to get up, get a snack and still not miss enough to make me want to rewind the silly thing. Not bad, but not great either; I was very disappointed.

I did not like any off them and I can't stand Jason Statham.

I think he's a clown

I only watched the first one. Standard action thriller but that style of camera work almost made me seasick. So, I sold the movie to a pawnshop for a buck.

Statham ain't all that either.

My 2 c.

I find the movie series rather fun but the plots are so weak, the basic premise about a "transporter" is a very good idea but the situation they put the guy are just ridiculous, I liked the 1st one a lot but I just couldn't stand that butt ugly annoying asian in it, second one was good but the whole "badass" transporter turned into nanny ruin it for me

just saw the 3rd one, errr...it had some good actions scenes but the plot was just plain stupid and the whole stripping scene was a waste of precious minutes of my life, I still enjoy it but damn...get a better story please

The best part of the flick is his choice of automobile, I guess I just like the car scenes...

I think the BMW 7 series from the 1st one was better then the Audi 8 series.
But if you look the cars he is using “big and heavy”. I think for a job like that you need a Audi S4, S5 or BMW M3, M5

When I was a kid, stripped down and fast were fine; but now that I am old and softer, a luxury car is much more to my liking, one that can kick butt like an S8 is really fun. I picked up a 05 Nissan Maxima and added a few goodies under the bonnet, and it is a hoot to drive. If I had deeper pockets, I'd get an Audi.

Once upon a time I'd have never bought anything but American, but after getting F'd in the butt by both Ford and GM more than once, I will never go back unless they give me a car for free first; I'll make payments to an impound account, and if the car gets to 100,000 miles with no major implosions, they get the money. If it blows up, I get to keep the money for the repairs and my trouble (rentals and such), and they get whats left.

Travis; for once we agree completely. Jason Statham as a leading man? Not hardly!
Mbob; I agree with you about cars. After being disappointed with the quality and performance of American cars, I will never buy one again. I have never been disappointed with Japanese or German cars.

Hey Tora, ya dug out of that snow dune I saw on the news last week...damn global warming. The last decent US car we owned was a Chrysler Fifth Avenue, and it was unsafe at any speed unless it was bone dry outside. I got a V6 in the Nissan and it gets 34mpg on the highway if going about 70mph or less; at 99.9mph it gets 29mpg. I can live with that (got 'Y' rated Bridgestone's on the old girl, and they are worth every penny)

Mbob;
I've got an '09 Corolla XRS, with the meanest fastest 4 banger i've ever seen. 0-60 in about 5 or 6 seconds with "manumatic", shift or auto, driver's choice. when i saw it at the dealership i thought "wow a sported up Corolla", but when i drove it, i couldn't believe it, it'll do 145 before the governor kicks in.......i got tired of paying thru the nose for gas for my Trailblazer so i sold it and bought a smaller, faster, gas friendlier, Japanese car.
