Ok I got my Paul Chen Tori two days ago.
Brien did a review on the Tori.

I want to do my own review, from my point of view.
The fittings
Saya – The saya has a really nice fingerprint less brown finish. The black rings really give the saya a nice look and a grip. Has a really nice Kurikata, Kojiri and Koiguchi. The segeo its brown color and very nice and tight.
Tsuka- The tsuka is wraped in really tight brown suede ito over a black ray skin. The kashira, menuki and fachi are nicely done.
Tsuba-The tsuba is “Flying Crane” really nice and nicely finished. Very nice detailed.
The Blade
Blade- As you all know it’s made from a folded powder-steel. Has mirror polish and outstanding hamon. The kissaki is just how I like it not to long not to short. It has the elite blade geometry, its wider then a katana blade but thinner then XL blade.
(In some folded blades it’s really hard to see the folds, but not this one you can clearly see the folds in the blade in any light)
Sharpens- I don’t think you can get a blade any sharper then this. I hade a paper test (No problems) I cut 3 mats (No problem). (Compeering to my PPK elite the Tori is about 20% sharper)
The handling
I was reading somewhere that katana needs to fill like the extension of your arm and I was like huh. Now I know what ppl are talking about.
I personally really like the suede wrapped tuka it gives you a stronger grip. The balance on my Tori is 5.2 inches. For me the weight was really good but it’s not light.I can get a nice direct hit using only one arm. (If are a small person the weight may be a problem for you)
Fittings 5/5
Blade 5/5
Handling (For me) 5/5
The MSRP price 4/5
Price from SOM 5/5
As a Collection item 5/5
As a practitioner item 5/5
Over all 5 /5
My suggestion if you have the money and don’t know what sword to get, Take the Paul Chen Tori she is a beauty.
