well guys michaels new baby arrived today a nice masahiro handforged
morpheous katana and what a beauty she is the blade so well finished
theres not a single scratch on the blade its so well polished the ito and sageo is a good 2mm thick 9 mm wide and of one continuos length not bits stuck
together as you see on some pics alltho suede its well finished well wraped and a new to me fancy style knot work on thesaya which has a matt finish to prevent finger prints showing the tsuba is made of iron so im told a good quarter inch thick with 8 squares cutout i know theres a name for this design but the name escapes me for moment the brass habaki is slightly blackend the seppas are done the same way to match
now the fuchi and kashira alltho undecorated are done in a blued steel
effect menuki are blackened brass to match the rest of the sword furniture tsuka is a bit longer than normal at 14 inches and the blades just slightly under 29 inches a nice piece for £120 GB pounds not sure how the harmons done but it looks very nicley done.

by the way forgot to mention katana is 43.50 inches long end to end out the saya in the saya its 45inches long i inch shorter than the musashi miyamoto
