Got this sword reduced form the clearance section on the forum due to some minor defects (I'm guessing it may be the one mentioned in the review above) but since I knew they were there when I bought it I'm quite happy with it. The defects were pitting on the blade near the tip and a misaligned faux same wrap. The pitting is on the back of the blade and in no way affected the edge which is the sharpest I have received out of the box. This is the FIRST katana (out of 8 functional- Rittersteel, Musashi, and Masahiro) that I have ever been able to cut with without sharpening more myself. The faux same is just in panels and not a full wrap but thats not surprising for the price. The saya is a bit too tight but that is easy to fix. The weight and balance (about 6 inches from the tsuba)are very nice making a fast sword. Overall this seems to be a very good sword (would have been 5 without the defects I knew I was buying) and I am definitely considering more by this manufaturer even though I thought I had enough katanas before recieving this.
Seriuosly thinking of getting 4 more of the Bushido models even though I had decided that the Musashi I ordered before this was my last Katana. Darn these things are addictive.~X(
