Some movies are so bad they are good,
some so bad they are funny,
some are sooooo bad you just have to ask what the F@#% were they thinking..so how about a list of your 5 worst all time stinkers....I have to go with these (at least they are the ones that come to mind tonight)

1. Highlander, The Source

2. The Druids, Staring Christopher Lambert

3. Highlander 2, Staring Lambert again and Micheal Ironside

4. In the Name of the King, Jason Statham (a new addition)

5. Ice Pirates, Robert Urich

None of those are in my worst 5 of all time list, but they are certainly towards the bottom of many lists; just saw the Jason Stratham thing and thought about some of the puss poor choices in casting...that whiney guy who played the nephew as an example, then the hood from Good Fella's as .... oh never mind; it was still better than any of these:

1. BBM -- I won't even spell that one out.
2. Waterworld
3. Grindhouse 'Deathproof ' for the tragic waste of nice old iron and too much girl talk.
4. Hotel New Hampshire
5. Brazil

Those come to mind right away, but I am sure if wanted to think about it, the list could get bigger.

B-)

Wow I dunno if you guys just haven't seen any of the real bad movies or if this list is only for ones that thought they might be good. The titles speak for themselves in my list:

5:Jack Brooks- Monster Slayer
4:Battle Queen 2020
3:Zombie Strippers
2:Hell Comes to Frogtown
1:Oversexed Rugsuckers From Mars

No one has mentioned "Gymkata" yet. It was an extraordinarily bad attempt to turn a olympic gymnast into an action hero.

It's so bad, it has websites dedicated to it. My favorite? The fine folks at I-Mockery gave a full send-up. http://www.i-mockery.com/minimocks/gymkata/

After that, even "Cherry2000" and "Tank Girl" seemed like Kurosawa epics...

1. Redbelt

2. Hulk (2003 Ang Lee)

3. Superman 3

4. Superman 4

5. Spiderman 3

My list could go on, but these are 5 I dislike right now.

Oh yea, I forgot Hannibal Rising =))

Sheesh, I must be the only one that liked Zombie Strippers, I even sent a copy to my buddy in Korea. But then again I give bonus points to any PRO-Boobie movie:celebration:. Not like that Ninja Chearleaders, so dissapointing!

The worst one for me was "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes", I saw this when it first came out at a midnight movie showing. Everyone there had either just came from a bar, or was smoking sumthin, the theatre had a haze going if you know what I mean. And then the movie! It was sooooo bad, people were getting belligerant, screaming profanities and throwing stuff at the screen! Poor theatre owners couldn't even call the cops with all that haze going on, they were lucky it really didn't turn even uglier!
1. Attack of the Killer Tomatoes
2. Dolemite with Rudy Ray Moore - seen at the Kung Fu Theatre
3. the last couple Highlander sequels!!
4. the last couple Crow sequels!!
5. Any Ninja movie starring an American as the lead, where the evil ninjas wear yellow, red, blue, gold, etc., etc., uniforms! Actually quite a few of these made!

My most disappointed movie was Oliver Stone's "Alexander", while not a bad movie, I consider this film a travesty! As would anyone, who truely follows history! A truely badly failed attempt to look at Alexander's motivations!

The problem with Alexander was the casting......c'mon, Colin Farrel as Alexander??? and where did they find that ridiculous blond wig for him? a blond with black eyebrows and beard??? and Val Kilmer as Philip???! and I've been to Greece and I KNOW they don't talk with an Irish accent...... anyway, here's my list
1. anything with Van Damm
2. anything with Brad Pitt
3. anything with Chuck Norris
4. anything with Dennis Quaid
5. anything with Kevin Costner
What ever happened to Hollywood?....nearly all my favorite American actors are dead........on the other hand you can always rely on movies with Sean Connery, Bruce Willis, Gene Hackman, and Samuel L. Jackson.....Here's looking at you, kid..........B-)

You left out Morgan Freeman...he is really good at what he does; well I like him anyways. :)

I'm not gonna argue with you when you are 99% correct, but even graphite can become a diamond if given enough time and preasure. Case in point; probably the worst modern version of the OK Corral (really Tombstone Corral) shootout flicks was Wyatt Earp...which, except for Gene's camio was pretty much a waste of time....well, except that myself being a student of Old West Sociopaths, I had to truley admire Quaid's Doc Holliday impersonation. He lost a lot of weight to look that gaunt, he spoke like a guy I know who came from Georgia and lives like Holiday lived, smokin', drinkin' and dying about the same way too (sadly enough). His ribald and unrepentent humor was right on target from what I have read...I mean as much as I liked Val Kilmers job in the better film, he looked too chipper, even at the end. I'd like to have Quaid play opposite Kurt Russell (that was one damn fine Wyatt Earp, he played) in Tombstone, which was a tad closer to the currently accepted truth (what year is this?).

Kostner was good in Dances With Wolves, because he played a person without a clue, no plans and no future, which John Dunbar was; his slow rebirth as one of the people was believable because of that. He made an outstanding victim to the military's stupidity (I mean come on, when was the last time you rooted for the Sioux...okay, besides at Wounded Knee II). Good casting there, but he ain't a pimple on Wyatt Earp's backside as a lawman; and it just comes accross that way to me.

Shumani tutanka o wachi...I can buy; Wyatt Earp I can't.

I must also agree with Dot, that AKT was really really bad, but I still liked it better than BBMtn... :detective:

Mancos; I agree with you 100% about Quaid's performance as Doc Holliday.....a great interpretation......to me the problem with Costner's roles is that his manner of speaking is hippy-like, you expect the next words out of his mouth to be "oh wow" or "far out" no matter what role he is playing; to me he just doesn't have the screen presence to be an action hero.

Yes, Morgan Freeman is one of my favorites too, he can always be relied upon to turn in a great performance.
I too have an interested in the Old West, I live near the old cattle towns of the cattle drive days; Abilene, Wichita, Ellsworth, Dodge City, Hays.........actually it was the OK Corral in Tombstone AZ, but the gunfight took place near the corral, not in it. (at least according to the Arizona history books, what do I know? I was in Dodge City at the time playing poker). As far as rooting for the Sioux, the "noble" Indian never existed. The American Indians were murdering each other and stealing each others land long before the white man came along. But that's a story for another time and place. I see we agree on the quality of movies and actors. that's a good thing. Peace. Out.

Like white folks never do that right? We just pass laws first to make it legal...=))

......sure we do it......everybody does it.....the sioux stole their land from the Crow.......the point is, they have no sympathy coming.....every nation acquires land by conquest....it's as old as history

Here's a couple movies that i thought were an abomination...

Basilisk, The Serpent King
Dragon Storm

They are good to poke fun at, My current favorite stared one of the Baldwin boys where every other one of his lines was "guard the flank" as he drew his sword and pointed it at the sky, too bad he didn't know where the flank was.....Harpies that was it...
